From a consumer's point of view, Cloud, after a few months' usage, mostly turns out to be yet another over-hyped creation of the Silicon Valley. For the large part, Cloud computing has not created any new entities. It has digitized the metal entities like RAM, HDD, CPU, etc. Their old functionalities remain the same.

After IaaS, SaaS is another over-hyped entity. For a user, it is the same HTML pages he has to interact with. He has no clue whether the pages he is being served are originating from his company's intranet or some Cloud SaaS provider.

We some innovation when it comes to a lesser known Cloud entity called Function as a Service. Here by "function" we mean a regular function embedded in a piece of code.
